Our Story

Built around the garden, not the other way round

When we designed Meadow View in 2009, we started with the gardens. Not the building, not the rooms — the gardens. Because we'd seen too many care homes where residents stared at car parks.

Every corridor opens onto a courtyard. Every bedroom has a view of trees, not tarmac. The gardens have raised beds that residents look after themselves, a sensory garden for people with dementia, and a greenhouse that's warm even in February.

The building grew around this idea. Wide doorways, flat thresholds, big windows. Nothing about Meadow View was an afterthought.

Our Care

What we do well

We're honest about what we can and can't do. Here's what we're set up for.

Residential Care

Help with daily living — washing, dressing, medication, meals. For people who can't safely live alone anymore but don't need nursing-level care. We support around 20 residential residents at any time.

Dementia Support

Eight dedicated rooms in our Willow Wing for people living with dementia. Secure garden access, consistent staffing so residents see the same faces, and a programme built around routine and familiarity.

Respite Care

Planned short stays from one to four weeks. Gives family carers time to rest, recover, or go on holiday. We keep two rooms available for respite bookings so there's usually space at short notice.

End of Life Care

We work with the local hospice team to provide comfortable end-of-life care here at Meadow View. Residents can stay in their own room, with their own things, surrounded by staff they know.
